What will we see @ the Cider Mill?
Our production site covers 12,000 sq ft of buildings and storage. It includes our retail Tasting Room serving artisan cider made onsite. The atmosphere has a country elegance, and we feature non-alcoholic beverages along with fabulous farmer fresh lunches.
What kinds of cider do you make?
Our Lady Blush blends make your senses of taste and smell come alive! We call it the perfect “Wine Alternative”….in Apple, Cherry…Raspberry..Old World Spice…Peach…Heritage Release..& Huckleberry! Future plans include Blackberry, Lavender, Pear, and Rozzleberry! So, stay tuned.
Do you make a hard cider?
At this time we have chosen to be creating non alcoholic, wine alternative beverages. In the future we may expand to include hard cider.
Is Lady Blush a kind of apple variety?
Lady Blush is the name of our gourmet cider & specialty food collection. The name originates from an antique variety of apple, rare and not generally available.
Is Lady Blush Apple Cider Pasteurized?
Yes, we complete a process called “flash pasteurization” It quickly brings cider up to a specific temperature, yet preserves the flavor.
What kind of apples do you use in your cider?
We create a blend using tart and sweet apples.
After you press the cider, what do you do with the left over mash?
Apple pulp makes wonderful fertilizers returned back to the orchard, and food for cattle or livestock such as pigs

What is there to do at the Cider Mill & Tasting Room?
RELAX in our rural country paradise! We offer complimentary samples of our cider in the tasting room. Be sure to plan enjoying lunch or dessert by the creek, and view our artisan production area. An artist gallery for Paula Frederick showcases her regional works created with oils, and old barn wood.
Apple Country Tours takes all group tours from the Cider Mill into the orchard by reservation.
You may luck out and overlap our musicians who perform house concerts, Saturday Live afternoons throughout the summer; open mic nights 1st Thursday of each month, with casual jam Thursday evenings the rest of the month.
What is the difference between “juice” & “cider”?
Most juice is clear, as in, you can see through it…often filtered significantly. Our cider has sediment, and the cloud indicates you are drinking something very natural & healthy.
Do you have a lot of orchard land to produce enough apples for cider?
We use more apples then we can grow and maintain. We purchase fruit varieties with the quality we feel will make the most amazing cider! They are never bottom of the barrel apples.
Do you press cider only once a year during harvest?
Our facility is year around, and we press regularly, thanks to wonderful cold storage methods available.
What is a “heritage cider” exactly?
Our “Heritage Release” is an extraordinary cider blend of antique variety apples. They date back as far as the Julius Caesar, Roman empire era with “Lady Apple” We create a different blend each year, using 10-12 unusual varieties. Others include Arkansas Black; Newtown Pippin; these are very rare to find. Typically, the heritage cider qualities are quite sweet and very smooth.

We heard you serve “Apple Butter Milkshakes”?
Yes, we use slow simmered apple butter made onsite…Vanilla ice cream…topped with real whipped cream….shaken before your very eyes…It’s the real deal!!! We have been told by many “Definitely worth the days drive from Seattle…”
Do you offer lunch at the Tasting Room?
Yes, we have become quite well loved for our grilled Panini’s and burgers with our special cider sauce. Salads included, and feature local grown fruits, flowers, & herbs.

We are the perfect fit for small informal/intimate celebrations.
We are planning an anniversary party. Can we have all the food, set up, and clean up done for us, so our family can just relax?
YES! This is our specialty. Walk in all dressed up…walk out with your guests. We do the rest!
We love the specialty foods the Cider Mill prepares for events. Do you cater off site to other locations?

FAQ for Apple Country Tours
Our group is interested in learning the process of growing fruit in the orchard. How can we visit an orchard?
We have many group options to enter a private orchard. You will have an orchard presenter/guide, as we discuss growing methods, pest management, responsible water management, local & world market, and many other topics. Packages and prices may be found at www.appleorchardtours.com
What will we see and do in the orchard?
You are given exclusive access to a working fruit orchard. Hayrides & lunch packages are available.
Can we pick our own fruit?
Harvest time happens one time each year for each fruit variety. Your reservation date will depend on whether the fruits are ready for harvest, and available for picking.
Do you offer culinary packages & educational courses?
Yes, the food is fabulous and you are allowed exclusive behind the scenes, showcasing different aspects of growing & preparing them. Be sure to view our weeklong program details www.discoverheirloomcuisine.com
How far in advance should we make our group reservations?
Many dates are filled 6-8 months in advance. Please call & plan ahead as much as possible. We may have last minute openings until 72 hrs in advance but no guarantees.
Our group has left a phone message/email; can we arrive and expect a confirmed reservation?
Reservation requests are confirmed only when you have received a confirmation call and fully completed credit card payment process.
Can we just show up for a tour?
Orchard Tours are by reservation only. The orchard is an ongoing industry @ work. We must plan for safety from sprays, and watering schedule co-ordinated to our scheduled groups.

Do you offer wholesale pricing?

How long will it be before I receive my order?
As stated on the web order form “Please allow 7-10 working days for your order to be processed.” This does not include weekends, holiday or actual shipping days.
My credit card was processed and I have not received my website order.
The order process begins with you typing in your choices and entering your credit card to begin processing. This does not mean the order is shipped the day it may show up on your credit billing. Please refer to our previous shipping policies.
Can I change the combinations of gift packs?
No, not at this time. Any changes stated in the comment section will change standard processing time, require additional fees and in person telephone follow up by a shipping representative.
How can I track my package?
At this time the website is not set up for individual package tracking. The shipping department will track individual packages determined lost after standard shipping policies and time frames have been fulfilled.
How do I send multiple packages?
Each gift recipient has different shipping information & will need to be pu into the system separately. This gives you an opportunity to add your personal message into the “comments” section of the order. Our shipping representative will hand write your personal message into the gift card.
Can you send me a catalog?
Our catalog is our website (online) only at this time. We have chosen not to print separate mail order catalogs, in this way we use less paper, and keep costs minimal for your gifts.
Can you please mail me free samples?
We do offer free samples in our tasting room including candy, cider, jellies etc. We encourage you to visit soon. Our online store is for orders only.
